“#DUOME” CAMPAIGN
Duolingo, in association with the annual D&AD Awards, asked for a campaign that would encourage 16 to 22 year olds to download their app and incorporate it into their daily routine.
My response to the brief included creating a separate app, duoMe, in which users would download in combination with Duolingo, connecting their accounts to create their own version of their self in Duolingo’s art-style, allowing them to view their language achievements and see their duoMe interact with the cast of Duolingo. The app would encourage users to share their achievements across social media platforms so that their peers see their results, thus inciting more people to download the apps and participate too.
Accompanying the duoMe app, I also created a short animation advert, showcasing the many different styles to choose from within the app, catching the attention of users scrolling on social media. Along with some physical adverts like billboards and adshel posters.
